As the Chief Marketing Officer, you will be responsible for building a best-in-class Marketing organization.
Simplicate is a fast growing B2B SaaS scale-up with a strong product-market fit. Our growth over the past few years has been mostly fueled by sales and demand capturing initiatives. We want to move beyond this linear growth model and invest in marketing to become a pivotal growth lever with exponential impact on sales. We want to understand better what levers to pull in marketing to accelerate growth.
Simplicate consists of over 70 enthusiastic A players, divided between our offices in Groningen and Amsterdam. We gained a lot of traction in our markets and want to keep growing fast. Our mission is to become the leading business software in the Netherlands (and beyond). We have a very strong focus on product and customer success and to keep growing we continuously want to innovate and improve to make sure our customers can remain successful.
You will be the driving force behind our growth strategy. While you roll up your sleeves to get started you will have the resources to build a team, internally and externally, to help you execute on the strategy you develop.
This mission includes:
Representing Marketing in the Leadership team
Building Marketing and Sales alignment and sharing ownership over revenue targets
Increasing funnel & sales performance through your marketing efforts
Keeping our CAC ratio and payback period in check
Building a demand gen program (brand drives demand)
Strengthening Simplicate’s product marketing foundations
Gaining deeper insights into the ICP for Simplicate and channel performance
Building a more data driven forecasting model
This mission does not include:
A single focus on capturing existing demand through search, direct response ads, etc
Hiding behind the volumes of MQLs or even Opportunities generated for Sales
You’ll have full ownership over:
Marketing goals and budget
Setting and owning strategy to execute on goals
Organizing and managing the execution by your team
Growing the marketing team and managing the people on it
Managing relationships and alignment with Sales, Product and Success teams

5 to 10 years experience in the field of B2B Marketing and/or Sales
Ca. 5 years experience in B2B SaaS scale-up with a low-touch / high-touch GTM
A background in product marketing and/or experience in demand gen are a plus
Someone with a proven track record in building a go-to-market fit is a double plus
And we hire for skills
You are fluent in English and Dutch
You know how to translate insights into strategy, and strategy into a plan

You’re revenue accountable and tie all activities to revenue impact
You know how to gain the insights on how to impact revenue even more
You’re a natural brand builder
You’re a driver of strategic growth initiatives, including in product management
You’re a financial steward who ensures delivery of growth and EBITDA
